Turkestan Regional Children’s Hospital Receives High Category of National Accreditation The highest category of national accreditation was granted. The first children’s hospital in the region to receive such a status.
The multi-profile regional children’s hospital is one of the largest and unique hospitals in the republic. The hospital, which can serve more than 917,511 children, provides urgent and planned medical services to patients.
The hospital covers all areas of specialized inpatient and outpatient care in pediatrics and pediatric surgery. It also provides highly specialized services in the field of cardiac surgery. Today, the hospital provides services in pediatric cardiac surgery, angiosurgery, neonatal surgery, neurosurgery, trauma and orthopedics, ophthalmology, oncohematology, and burns.
In addition, there are 50 inpatient beds and a consultative and diagnostic clinic for 400 visitors per day. Every year, the hospital treats more than 18 thousand children, and provides functional diagnostics — 30,000 (CT, MRI, ultrasound, X-ray, TB). Also, more than 72,000 children receive medical advice in the hospital’s clinic. The clinic offers consultations from specialists in all specialties. In addition, the audiological center can determine the hearing ability of children using an audiogram.
For the first time in our country, this year, the educational-methodological center «Supervision» was opened on the basis of the regional children’s hospital, and the hospital pharmacy department is operating.
